Psychologist, Researcher of Developmental and Educational Psychology at the Department of Psychological, Pedagogical and Educational Sciences - University of Palermo, Systemic-relational Psychoterapist and Secretary of the Italian Society of Pediatric Psychology (SIPPed). His current areas of scientific interest are: the Pediatric Psychology, the training of psychologist and physicians of the health area, the conditions of evolutive risk in the life span and prevention models and methods. Several international and national publications have collected the results of some studies in the area of ​​Pediatric Psychology, both as regards developmental impairments and correlations between these and chronic, acute or cancer diseases, and as regards the coping processes of children in pediatric condition and family. Some studies have focused on specific prenatal and neonatal developmental conditions; a particular scientific interest regards the conditions of preterm birth.
