Federico Tonioni is a psychiatrist and a psychoanalyticpsychotherapist. Graduatedat“CatholicUniversityof the SacredHeart” in 1993, hespecialized in Psychiatry at “Gabriele D'Annunzio” Universityin Chieti, in 1997. Since 2004 hehasworkedas a researcherat the “InstituteofPsychiatry and Psychology”of “CatholicUniversityof the SacredHeart”. Since 2001 he’sbeenworkingat the Psychiatry Service  of“ A. Gemelli” University Hospital in Rome. In 2009 hefoundedthere the first public clinic for Internet Addiction in Italy, thatafterwardsbecame a PediatricInterdepartmental Center for Web Psychopathology in 2016.
Dr.Tonioniholdsseveraluniversitycourses and teaches in post graduate programs. Heisauthorofscientificworksofinternationalimportance and bookslike “When the internet becomes a drug” (Einaudi, 2011), “Web mediatedPsychopathology” (Springer-Verlag, 2013), “Cyberbullying” (Mondadori 2014), “Adolescents, Alcohol and Drugs ”( Mondadori 2015).
